Associate Attorney, Employment Law (Contract-to-Hire, Entry Level)
Location: Seattle, WA (Currently Fully Remote)
Job Type: Full-Time (Contract-to-Hire)
Position Summary
We are hiring an entry-level associate attorney to support our growing caseload of wrongful termination and discrimination matters. You will be part of a small, dedicated team focused on plaintiff-side employment and civil rights litigation. This is a hands-on role ideal for a new attorney eager to gain real litigation experience while making a meaningful impact in people’s lives. This role will act as the primary backup on all of the firm's litigation cases.
Health and dental insurance will begin at the time of full-time employment. We are accepting applications from candidates awaiting Bar results.
Key Responsibilities

Draft legal documents including complaints, discovery requests, and motions

File lawsuits in state and federal court and manage procedural deadlines

Conduct legal research and help shape case strategies

Participate in client interviews, fact development, and intake assessments

Support mediation prep and attend administrative hearings and court proceedings

Communicate with clients and opposing counsel professionally and empathetically

Stay current on Washington and federal employment law, especially Title VII, WLAD, ADA, FMLA, and related regulations
Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school

Must be licensed to practice in Washington or awaiting Washington bar results

Strong writing and analytical skills

Commitment to social justice and workers' rights

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment

Comfort working with clients navigating emotional and difficult workplace experiences
